SQ bisects TSR. Find the value of X. http://gyazo.com/c5f939af9bcb0e068374d6ca85fb0c43

Directrix (directrix):

The triangles are congruent by HL Theorem or you could argue AAS Theorem. That means that corresponding sides are congruent.

Directrix (directrix):

Sides TQ and QR are congruent. So, solve the equation: 8x + 20 = 10x @GeometryHelpPlz Post what you get for x, and we will compare answers. Okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 8x+20=10x so combine like terms x=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because 10x-8x=2x and you would 20/2x so x=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Am i correct?

Directrix (directrix):

Yes, x = 10.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh Okay i was kind of lost on that one ha. it was a duh question though

Directrix (directrix):

There was more information given than was necessary to solve the problem. That made it confusing. I had to look three times myself. All that stuff about the angle bisector was totally unnecessary.
