How would I punctuate this sentence: Although we came from vastly different circumstances: I was four years older; she was Hispanic and I was Caucasian; she came from the inner city and I lived in a a distinguished neighborhood; she was suffering from leukemia, one of the most feared diseases known to man, and I was yet untouched by its grip; a deep bond of friendship developed.
