Can two different functions ever have the same output when you plug the same value into each function? Give examples of two functions that behave like this

3x+1 2x-2 When you plug -3 in, you get -8 both times.
do you mean the same value for every input? or for at least one input?
it is only possible if you think that the function you are talking about have independency of the value. I mean if you take null function: means whatever be the value u put u get same answer /output zero(null). and second function may be identity function.hope this help u
