Why not? Remember the duality of light. if it didn't have one, it would still have the other. Light has an influence on evolution in that creatures who live in lightless places either have no eyes or have other senses to compensate, but they EXIST.....

Why not? Evolution says we would still exist.. although in diff forms which are unrelated to the wave nature of Light :P
