Calculus can be deeper than algebra, because of the ideas involved. It has some complex and controversial ideas. For example, taking a limit. Getting as close to a number as you want without actually reaching it. It's deeper and more thoughtful than algebra.

I learned trig before calculus, but I think I learned them earlier than most. Calculus was actually a lot more intuitive for me than trig. The idea of a limit is sort of simpler than the sine function.
I think that trig and calculus are generally taught in high school.

Different people hate math for different reasons. Some find it boring, some don't enjoy working with numbers, and some are simply not good at it. Personally, I hate math because I am a very creative person, and math leaves no room for creativity. You have to do things a certain way. All of the rules have already been set, so you can't further develop mathematics. I also dislike math because I love to work with words, like in literature and grammar. Math doesn't allow you to express yourself. It has no scope for imagination. There isn't much freedom to explore.
In contrast, some people love math. These people tend to be, but are not always, analytical and logical. They amuse themselves by solving problems and they find it easy to follow the steps. However, a person can be creative and love math, and - while I don't personally know anyone like this - I'm sure that there are people with logical who minds who don't like math.

I disagree. Math, not necessarily taught in school, leaves a lot of room for creativity. Maybe if you've taken geometry, there are sometimes two different ways to do a proof, each new and creative.
In more professional mathematics, you don't have to do things a certain way. Well, there are rules that you must follow, but generally you go your own way.
Mathematics that is taught in school is sometimes boring. I agree with you on that count.

Hmm. I belive I'm starting to understand. So people who knows how to do math so far, will know how to do trignometry, and calculus.
But for the people who doesn't quite understand math so far, will have a somewhat problem in trignometry, and calculus.

GoldPhoenix, I think trigonometry is medium-hard and calculus is probably just medium. But easy, medium, and hard are subjective, and so I don't really know...
