explain how encouraging women to help the american war efforts actually (in detail) contributes to the american war efforts?
What ideas do you have so far? Also, which war are you referring to?
i have no idea i honestly am awful with history and its the american revolution
women were encouraged to join the workforce because most of the men were off fighting overseas. They worked in factories making many things from ammunition to uniforms to airplanes. They also worked as plumbers, mechanics, air raid wardens, ambulance drivers, and nurses - among other things.
thank you :)
For the American revolution, women may have had a role in producing ammunition, but a lot of what's written about is women supporting men on the battleground .. 'camp followers' did tasks around the war camps like mending clothes, cooking, and repairing things. There's also evidence that women fought in the Revolutionary war. :)
no problem
