Can someone explain what exactly is this "smart score" stuff, and what it means and how to do it?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

first of all,....\(\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\\\color{white}{.}\\\Huge\sf\color{blue}{~~~~Welcome~to~OpenStudy!~\ddot\smile}\\\color{white}{.}\\\\\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\) The whole system here at OS is indeed difficult to comprehend so i will do my best to explain it to you :)

thanks @Jamierox4ev3r

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Smartscore is based from several aspects. Problem solving gets higher by answering peoples question whether you recieve a medal or not, but goes even higher when you receive medals. Are you following me so far, or do u need me to explain anything?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

@SchoolisCool ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it! thanks!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

thanks haha and im not done yet ^.^ ".....But wait, there's more!" lol :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opps sowwy

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

as for teamwork, your teamwork score goes up when you work well with others i.e. mentioning them, giving each other medals, inviting other users to Openstudy, and receiving/giving medals and testimonials. However, if you do these excessively and a moderator finds out about it, you could get in trouble so you have to be careful not to abuse the smartscore

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Lastly, Engagement is gaged by how many questions you ask (meaningful q's to help you learn, not just random questions) and how well you work with people to get the answers (receiving medals for asking the question, not for answering). Engagement is also measured by how many days you have been studying on OS. Does that make more sense to you now

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

I am finally done btw lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow that was a lot but helped thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have one question though........

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

For example, I just gave u a medal for asking this question. This brings my Teamwork score up, and brings up your engagement score (thats why you smartscore just went up ^.^). THat was a small example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you give medals?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

just click the best response button next to my name. I think you already figured that out tho lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thats what i did!! fail.... thanks again

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

now go ahead and close this question. Thanks for asking and welcome to open study :) np
