Please please help! The system 3x-y=-9 and x+2y=2 may be solved algebraically using several different methods. Show the first step in solving the system using each method below. Do not solve the system. Substitution for y: Elimination of x:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x-y=-9 y=3x+9 substitute in x+2y=2 and get the value of x and then y

substitution method @lamp12345

I know, it literally just wants the first step to each method. Nothing more, nothing less.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x-y=-9 ...(1) x+2y=2 ...(2) multiply (1) by2 and add in (2) ,y will be eliminated and find x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

orite dear.. :) PM me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can choose two method..either subs or eliminate it ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for elimination of x,multiply (2) by 3 and subtract from (1),x will be eliminated.
