Graph y > (x + 2)2 I know where to graph it, I just don't know where to shade

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the > sign tells you to shade above the boundary line (which in this case is a dashed line)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you had <, you would shade below the boundary line

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

keep in mind that this trick only applies if y is fully isolated

OpenStudy (nory):

Try a test point. For example, (0,0). Does that test point make the inequality true or false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it thank you
