I just downlaoded Python 2.5.4. When I open the new window, to write in the script mode and then run it in the shell, I do not have any keywords such as "print" or "def" color coded. I did not have such issue when I initially downloaded Python 3.x Please help. Thanks.

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

you can check the highlighting from Options>configure idle>highlighting and see if the option has highlighting for print and def PS. maybe some who has used 2.5.4 may help you better

Thanks. I tried that, but it highlights the whole thing. Not just keyword. Which version are you using?

OpenStudy (harsimran_hs4):

i am using 2.7x

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Save the file as a .py file?

Thank. I actually just figured it out. For some reason my computer was not saving scripts in .py format (which it did before). I just manually changed it to .py. It works! Thank you very much.
