All of them triumphed in times and places where women in computing were the vast minority and generally overlooked or ignored.  That alone makes them success stories, but they also happen to be people that moved the industry forward with what they did.  So they were not just programmers, but were developers that advanced computer science.

Apple is two success stories separated by a major failure.... and lots of sub stories.

NASA has several where it comes to baseline development, getting them into space, and so on.
