How does a universal genetic code relate to the hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth?
DNA and RNA are in all living organisms.DNA and RNA are Genetic code Which is the main reason for life on Earth.
I don't see how that can be support to the hypotheses about the origin of life on earth.
I would rather think that due to the a large number of organisms follow the genetic code - why we call it universal. That is the code in which we translate from mRNA to protein using tRNA, we may assume that one organism first developed this system and organisms have inherited this on every since.
Without DNA and or RNA life on earth would not exist. That is why the ask. Do you need more info on the specifics of genetic code? Simply using WIKI will not be acceptable to a teacher. Explain that in your own words combined with my answer and you will get a great score :)
Those ARE his own words.
In other words: One organism have may started the system of using DNA and have been spread out to all making a theory that many of the organisms today have a common ancestors.
Well if those are his own words that will be fine:) Just make sure you understand the meaning in-case asked upon by teacher. Other wise good job that is the answer.
Lots of people do copy & paste from Wiki and Yahoo answers. We can copy & paste their answers onto google, to find out whether or not they actually used their own wording. It's a pet peeve. Anyway I agree with both of your answers. They're pretty straightforward.
I just answered that question a week ago to my teacher (FLVS) and got it correct. If you don't like my answer that's your opinion.
Lets just let FLOCK pick:) good job with the answers though:)
Okay: 1) Sure they are my own words... but I use theory from the 100 of books, articles, teaching I have been given though my life + if it wasn't my words then it would be better English ;) 2) we do have life that isn't organic (we have created it in a lab among others) 3) Even teachers can be wrong ;)
Okay you win :) Have fun.
I don't want to win. I just made a contribution - what matters to me.
And it was a good contribution :)
