surface area is the total area of all the faces a cylinder has 3 faces, you can easily calculate the area of the 2 circle area and subtract those from the surface area which would leave you with the area of the lateral area of the cylinder
using lateral area, and radius of the cylinder, you can then solve for the height of the cylinder
