area of a rectangle is base times height so just multiply 5 and 2

Careful, the base and height are not in the same unit. One is in feet and the other is in inches. You have to make them both into the same unit. So either convert 5 feet to inches or 2 inches into feet. Probably best to turn 5 ft into inches.
