Linear Algebra "Find necessary and sufficient conditions on the real numbers \[\lambda \] and \[\mu \] so that the system below has (a) no solution, (b) a unique solution. 2x − y + 5z = 0 y + 3z = 0 \[\lambda * z \] = \[\mu \] I understand that the first step is to put it into matrix form, however I am uncertain as to how to interpret the matrix for the conditions required? Any help to aid my understanding would be greatly appreciated :)
