Write 8.2x10-5(negative exponent of 5, NOT 10-5) in standard notation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, we'll look at the first part, which is 8.2 and we'll write this down. Now, the second part, 10^(-5) means that we have to move the decimal point 5 spaces to the left (we move to the left because the exponent is negative) so take 8.2 and move the decimal point 5 places to the left and what do you get?

Alright thanks!
