What is the value of a + b? 125 110 145 135 see attachment !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a must be 45 degrees I think.. Angle a should be half of 90 degrees..

OpenStudy (kuoministers):

well a is 45 as it is half of 90

OpenStudy (kuoministers):

yea but whats with the 110? Its like in the middle of nowhere

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it a arc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For that, line should go from center to the tangent, I think..

OpenStudy (kuoministers):

oh yea, your right sorry(why u say you think) lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is role of 110 in finding b..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because I think too much.. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im lost can someone do it in steps please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First let us do in steps for that.. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just kidding.. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hobbs978 mind helping?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180-55= ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I think I got answer..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can I use some internet help here??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See, 3rd property there... Tangent Chord Angle..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So. extend your tangent there.. |dw:1374990639224:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Firstly x angle should be half of 110 degrees according to 3rd property there..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a+b + x = 180 (straight line property)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a + b = 180 - x a + b = 180 - 55 a + b = 125
