can anyone help me, what's the total area enclosed between the curve y=x(x+1)(x-3) and the x-axis?

OpenStudy (loser66):

you have 3 roots, x =0, x = -1 and x =3. therefore the areas will be calculated by \[\int_{-1}^0 x(x+1)(x-3)dx + \int_0^3 x(x-1)(x+3)dx\] someone will combine them to take int just from -1 to 3. I separate them.

take a look at the graph https://www.desmos.com/calculator
