f(x) 2x^4-3x^3+8x-6 let x-2 is a factor of above polynomial then x=2 by putting x=2 in above eq. f(2)= 2(2)^4 - 3(2)^3 + 8(2) - 6 f(2) = 2*16 - 3*8 + 16 - 6 f(2) = 32-24+10 f(2) = 8+10 f(2) = 18
