!!! One Medal Question !!! - Give an example of a scientific question that could be investigated with an experiment. Then give an example of scientific question that could not be investigated in this way.
Can be:Does salt make waters boiling point conduct faster? Can Not: How many baby birds are being born right now? Right now is not testable
I didn't understand the "can not" one.
Well, if you take into account what's happening around you, for instance global warming, an intriguing scientific question could be: " Can macroalgal culture help mitigate the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?" The experiments would entail measuring the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by the organism. On the other hand for the scientific question which cannot be investigated in this way. What do you mean by that actually? One scientific question which would entail a completely different setup for investigation would be "Can people think during their sleep?" Maybe that would require the use of MRI and other stuffs to investigate the human behaviour during sleep. I hope it helps.
lol ! MRI what is that ?
Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
still dont know
Read this for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Functional_magnetic_resonance_imaging :)
all right got it Thank You Soo Much !!! @Kayne
You're welcome @tanya123 :)
I was just reading my question over, its saying after Then give an example of scientific question that could not be investigated in this way. mean the first scientific question you wrote should be linked to the second question ?
I think that they are independent scientific questions. What do you think @thomaster
I think it should be linked as the question says: "that can not be investigated in \(\sf\underline{this}\) way" (this referring to the first investigation)
wow where did u find it ?
you're right @thomaster .
