What is your favourite media to use when doing artwork? (crayons, watercolour, acrylic, ink, ebony pencil, clay, etc.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For painting, I prefer acrylics over watercolors-- I feel they add more texture and depth. I love clay and carving, but I haven't done much of it yet :( what about you?

I like using Pastels, their so fun to work with... That and paper, You can do so much with paper. Mold it, and fold it... those two are probably my favourite medias to work with. I was just seeing if I could get Ideas on what types of things I could try using that I haven't used yet :D

Aw pastels :) I'm not quite a fan of those, I love texture too much ahah:) Mixed media is really interesting. I'm beginning to see a lot of pieces of canvases with thread sown into them, also with smashed paper put onto it and painted over again. Also with collages glued to complete the piece. You should try something like that! Just google Mixed media, it's really fun :) http://www.saatchionline.com/buy-art/Assemblage-Collage

all what you said :D

I like texture too sometimes so instead of asking my parents for an ipod or iphone for Christmas I asked for canvasses and lots of crayons. I love doint the melted crayon art. Infact, the piece of artwork in my picture, its melted crayons :)

I like using watercolor paints and just .. ballpoint pen, I suppose. Simple.

sometimes the most simple tool makes the most beautiful pieces of work ever
