How are electricity and magnetism related?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Electricity and magnetism are related through electromagnetism. They're both a moving current of electrons.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Electricity is vague, but you might think of it as the movement of charges, or current. When charges move, they create a magnetic field. When charges move through a magnetic field, they experience a force.

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Michael Faraday's little experiment, he connected a wire to an ammeter and passed it through a magnetic field and the needle deflected! Then he passed a magnet through an electric field the same thing happened. It dawned on him that this two phenomena must be manifestations of the same thing!
