OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can you make this happen?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eliminate the a and add the first and second equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you are close tell us how to make negative? hint: you can multiply divide and add subtract each side of the equation and result will be same..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay let me try to solve it ....Thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11b = -5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b is equal to 1 and a is equal to -8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i use elimination method, you can check my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, I have 16, however I wasn't sure on where to go from there. I am confused on the a = -8, I know that you divide it????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a + 9b equal 1 now i just plug it the number i substitute a for -8 and b for 1, -8+9(1) equal 1 -8+9 is equal 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i not divide it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idk why u think i divide it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I can divide and get the same answer? This question has several solutions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, forgot the substitiution....I got it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):
