As music videos gained popularity in the 1980s, how do you think music videos affected different venues (i.e.-radio)? Do you think music videos had a positive or negative impact? Research and include one example in your post to support your opinion.

OpenStudy (likeaboss1996):

I think music videos have a positive and negative impact. Positive because it is entertaining for us and might be inspirational. Negative because of the way they dress, or the way they act in it or the setting, it can be pretty bad. It's negative because kids these r starting like JB, 1D, and so on. They aren't supposed to watch those so yes it is negative and pretty affective on kids, it's based on the age. So, there u go hope this helped u.

if we talk abt music in 80's, i think the music and the video are REAL music, i mean the bands are really musician :) not only for popularity or money. positive effect is more than negative :)) but see now, not all singers are musician, a few of them just sell the sound for money and popularity, not the real musician :)) look how different when was child, we dunno about love songs. but nowadays? see how 5th child sing a love song like a boss,\. thats bad i think :D agree with Likeaboss1996 :)

I think it has both. Because now there are artists who create captivating and fascinating music videos that catch our attention and makes us want to listen to the song more. on the other side. there are also bad parts of a music video. some music videos may contain explicit contents in it that may be bad for children who are not yet mature. so i cannot pick a side for whether music videos are good or bad:)
