the proportion of sides ..... in some fashion or another 4:6 is to (4+6):(6+8) seems reasonable to me
this could be written a few ways 4:6 = 10:14 4:10 = 6:14 14:6 = 10:4 etc ....
i think it is the first option @amistre64
