but then, when the war was really imminent, in 1963 there were protests agains the war in both England and Australia. In the U.S., in May 2nd, 1964, "hundreds of students demonstrate on New York's Times Square and from there went to the United Nations. 700 marched in San Francisco. Smaller demonstrations take place in Boston, Madison, Wisconsin and Seattle. These protests were organized by the Progressive Labor Party, with help from the Young Socialist Alliance. The May 2nd Movement was the PLP's youth affiliate."

well, perhaps guys but many people who were draft dodgers were not so because they were protesting against the war.. lots of them were just from poor families, just like in WWI.. really protests that were trully against the war were done by students.. just what I think, and what I'd answer xP

@tanya123 I don't know exactly what can be considered military veterans in the U.S. (I'm not american) but it is a fact that in 1945 marines did protested against colonization and occupation of Vietnam.. can't say if that time can be considered related to the Vietnam War itself.. if not, the first PUBLIC protest happened in May '63.. by students.. so if you consider this time, students would be the answer..
