Death took the physicians life because, the physician was using the herb to make his life much more enjoyable while he was disobeying Death. The physician clearly showed greed because he healed the king and his daughter even though Death was standing by their feet which mean he's supposed to let them die. The physician knows that saving the king and his daughter would bring him much respect and more patients wanting to get help. When the physician saved his daughter he knew, and was thinking that saving her would allow him to be her husband and inherit the crown. Secondly, Death taking the physician’s life did well for the world because he had the power to save anybody but would let them die if Death wanted them to. The physician letting people die just because Death said so is wrong, but if he didn’t obey death he was told he would fall ill and perish because of it. Even though death warned him that going against what he wanted would cost him his life, the physician saved the King and his daughter, even though Death was standing by their feet. Even though the physician would be killed by Death, it would be going against any regular person’s morals to let someone die when you have the power to save them. Lastly, the physician was abusing the herb Death showed him to gain popularity so he could gather in more patients. Not long after Death showed him the herb he was known almost all around the world as a magical healer. The physician also disobeyed Death and he got another chance, but the second time around Death was so angry he killed him. His decision to kill the physician was rightful in a way that Death gave him a great life and he abused it for his own good and not considering Death in it at all.
