Question coming in Comments..

Which shows \[\frac{ 15 }{ 10 }\] as a simplified improper fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have 15 parts for 10 parts. So you have 10/10 parts with a remainder of 5/10. 10/10=1 and 5/10=1/2. So you have 15/10= 1 1/2. It's improper because 15 is bigger than 10. a larger number is not supposed to be on top.
