Explain, in complete sentences, how you would use the graphing method to solve the following system of equations. Provide the solution to the system and explain what the solution represents on the graph. 3x - 6y = 12 9x + 2y = -24

First you simplify both equations into the form y = mx + b So y = .5x - 2 and y = -4.5x - 12 Then you would find out where they intersect by graphing both equations on the same axis. The point at which they intersect is (-2,-3) Good luck showing that, I need to leave though. :)
