Solve the following system of equations using elimination: 5x+3y+z=25 3x-3y-z=7 4x+y+4z=14

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Add the first two equations. That will eliminate both y and z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then from there what do i plug x back into?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Replace x in the third equation and one of the other equations and solve that new system for y and z. You MUST use the third equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when i plug x back into the third equation i end up with y+4z=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that changed into y=mx+b form isn't right because i need 3 whole answers.
