Back then, slaves weren't taught to read or write. They didn't have the right to educate, no civil/political right, no right for health care or religious instruction. I'm talking about the slaves conditions in 18th century and before.

Difficult....Do you have your book open? I would go with C, because Slaves were mostly found anywhere: at homes, small farms, many of them did work in large plantations due to huge space provided for them and privacy.
