OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

notice the bottom of it, is a "square pyramid", meaning the bottom is a square, if one side is 10, well, all sides are 10, so you get the Area for that look at one of the faces of the pyramid, it's just a triangle really look at the triangle's base how long it's look at the triangle's height, how high up it goes area of a triangle is 1/2 x base x height

@jdoe0001 Okay , So how exactly would I find the area of the triangle?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

look at the triangle's base how long it's look at the triangle's height, how high up it goes area of a triangle is \(\bf \cfrac{1}{2} \times base \times height\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 1/2 x 10 x 7.6?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the height of the pyyramid is not the height of one of its faces

ugh. I don't get it still :? @jdoe0001
