Just like Preetha said, that is the main idea here, now for a more technical breakdown we do as follows:

Problem Solving:
Answering questions
Getting medals

Teamwork: (A little more complex)
Inviting friends onto the site and them signing up
Fans you have and testimonials they have given you
Unique people you have helped (if you help one person 77 times it does not increase as much as helping 77 different people)
Using the chatbox
Commenting back on questions and working together with users to solve the question.

Engagement:
BEING ON THE WEBSITE
(Just being on everyday helps it)
Medals you have received on your own question.

Amount of days on the site only helps a little. Engagement is mainly asked questions.
Did you know that tagging people increases teamwork very much?
The formula that calculates the smartscore is an ancient secret so we'll never know all the components that are used but I know there are many more we don't know.

Enagement goes pretty slowly up..You can see people who don't ask much questions have pretty low Engagement.
