Use a proportion. 1974 $ 49.3 29,000 2003 $ 184.0 x \( \dfrac{49.3}{184.0} = \dfrac{$29,000}{x} \) Solve for x.

Sweet finished it :)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

What did you get?

I have another one :)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

This is similar to the prevoious problem. Do a proportion for each town. For example: City K 166 $150,000 City E 100 x \( \dfrac{166}{100} = \dfrac{$150,000}{x} \) Solve for x. Set up a similar proportion for each city and solve it. Replace City E and 100 by the City and number of each city.

1. Please start a new post for each new problem. 2. You should be able to solve the third problem by now. It is very similar to the first one. The CPI of 1975 to the minimum wage of 1975 is equal to the CPI of 2001 to x. It's a proportion just like the fiorst problem.
