Can someone help me fix my topic sentence. My English class are writing about one particular type of person or group, and the assumptions that our culture attaches to them.

Besides the awful parallel structure, this is a terrible topic sentence. Are you writing about the issue of racism or stereotyping? Because if not, I'd change it entirely.
