In the x-y plane, a given circle with center at the origin contains the point (-3, 4). Which of the following points is NOT on the given circle? (3,-4) (0,-5) (3,4) (0, rt7) none

OpenStudy (psymon):

Well, you would need to determine what the radius is. If a point (x,y) is on a circle, then x^2 + y^2 will equal r^2. So I would use your point to determine what the radius is. From there, you can use that radius to determine which of those points would not be on a circle with that radius.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

can you figure out the radius?
