I am unable to open directly my drives C, D, E, F. When ever I am trying to, the search is getting open. But it is working when I am exploring it. I want it to be opened directly. What to do ?

If the "Fix it for me" did not work, did you try the registry edit it listed?

Interesting. Did not require a restart? Many of those changes need a system reboot to come into effect.
