A = Outer core (Molten) B = Lower mantle (Basaltic magmas) Basaltic magmas looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/EfKkdhT.jpg So I think it could be: D. Layer A is made of molten lava but Layer B is made of solid rocky substances. I could be possibly wrong, so wait and see for other answers.

I'd say the answer to this one would have to be D. The inner core of the earth is the hotter part (consisting mostly of metals) and therefore is much more liquid than layer B, which contains molten basalt and granite (rocks).
