how can one hear more loudly in a room containing curtains and carpets than the the rooms which have nt these things??????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in a room without carpets and curtains and other furnitures, the minimum path of sound wave is half the distance of the source's position from the wall,so you ll hear sound echoing, you will not differentiate the the words, cause we need 1/10 sec for each syllable to hear clearly, but in case of the room filled with curtains the sound will reflect easily.the absorbtion of the sound will be very minimum,we can exclude that.
