In the order of operation would you multiply first or divide?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply First :) lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well isnt there a thing where you go left to right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do it from left to right, they are both eqaul in order of operations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PEMDAS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

With PEDMAS, you do whatever comes first in the equation. If Multiplication comes before the division, do that first. If the division is first, do the division first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parenthesis|exponents|division, multiplication|addition, subtraction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ones with commas between them are equal so in the equation you just go from left to right using them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No its P(arenthesis).E(xponents).M(ultiply).D(ivide).A(ddition).S(ubtract). if we're talking algebra.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my bad got the m and d mixed up but works either way
