when I solve a system of equations by graphing how is the solution found a sketch of the work would be really appriciated

thankyou sir :)

Lets just take the example of having two equations with two unknowns. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=graph+x-3+y+%3D+2%2C+3+x-4+y+%3D+0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but how is it found ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The point of intersection is how you solve a linear system of equations. You can verify this by solving for x and y and then you would then see that if you plotted that x and y it would be that very point of intersection. Does that make sense?

hmm I think I get it thank you so much u are a life savior

Well if I can clear anything else up, just let me know. It's a very important concept to see. :D
