{Rewrite the expression using double angle formulas.} 6cos^2x-3+6sinxcosx I think I have it down to 3(2cos^2x)-(2sinxcosx) I'm not sure how to do this problem... please help A.S.A.P! Thanks!

Do you know the definition of the double angle formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I think... I'm not sure which one to use.

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Just start with anyone for cosine, apply all you know and slug it out. Eventually, you'll get there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What form are you trying to get to?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know. I just typed the equation in as it says here on my handy-dandy paper. It's really just asking me to simplify as much as I can.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you simplify cos^2(x) into a sin(x)cos(x) combination using one of the formulas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe so.
