The sum of two consecutive integers is less than 100. Find the pair of integers with the greatest sum less than 100.

Since they have to be consecutive, you should divide 100 by two. giving you 50. then the biggest number under 100 is 99 and 99-50 = 49 and since 49 and 50 are consecutive, there you go.
