OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x – 5)2 + (y + 2)2 = 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kainui now i think i know this. the center is (5,-2) and the radius is 16?

OpenStudy (kainui):

Very close! Remember, the last term =r^2 not =r. Other than that, perfect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sooo... 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 256?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kainui ???

OpenStudy (kainui):

4 is right. If the radius is 4, then when you plug it in, it'll get squared and become 16. Just wanted to assure you that you were right the first time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is the radius 16, or 4? dude im confused

OpenStudy (kainui):

The radius is 4.
