this really confuses me :/ Find the mean, median and mode for the following data: 17, 19, 24, 22, 24, 23 Choose the correct order for listing these measures of central tendency from least to greatest. mean, mode, median median, mode, mean mean, median, mode mode, median, mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what mean and mode and median mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but mean confuses me alot but mode=most median=middle when put in order from least to greatest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK Mean =average To solve for Mean you add all the numbers together then divide by the total number of numbers you have In your case that would be 129 (the total added)/6 (the total amount of numbers so your Mean equals 21.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To solve for Median put your numbers in order Then pick the middle number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks also what if there is an even amount of numbers :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

youll have two medians what do i do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you add the numbers together then divide by two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks @JoStudy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now Mode is the number that apperas the most

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which in your case is 24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

So have you solved your median?
