Write an equation in slope-intercept form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (adilalvi):

y=mx+c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK do you mean y=mx+b?

OpenStudy (adilalvi):

yes both r same and will give same answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK So that means I would plug in x&y and get -5=m*0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I solve for M (slope)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyone?

OpenStudy (adilalvi):

-5=m*0+c so c=-5 which is the required slop.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the whole equation in slope intercept form would be -5=m*-5?

OpenStudy (adilalvi):

what is the value of x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So -5=-5*0*-5

OpenStudy (adilalvi):

dude when 0 multiply with x it will become 0 and just c will left on right hand side so -5=c which is slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah ok thanks

OpenStudy (adilalvi):

now give me my medle.
