Use complete sentences to analyze the graph of the function f(x) = log 1/5 x. Part 1 Describe the domain, range, and general shape of this graph. Part 2 Using complete sentences, explain how plotting specific points helps graph the function and note any critical points such as its intercepts.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Is it: \[\log_{1/5} x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Luigi0210 yes sir

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Do you know what the graph looks like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not @Luigi0210

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

|dw:1375383029390:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so then how would I explain the describe the domain, range, and general shape of this graph? @Luigi0210

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Sorry just trying to refresh on my logs.. anyways do you know the domain and range of a standard log?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not @Luigi0210 im sorry im not much help on this one :/

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Here this might be useful: Scroll down to logs and exp: http://www.analyzemath.com/DomainRange/domain_range_functions.html

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Does it make sense? :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Luigi0210 I am so lost

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

I'm sorry >.<

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Okay we'll start from the top.. this is a regular log function: |dw:1375384415949:dw| The domain is 0 because nothing you plug in will give you a zero. Right?
