so first, the height of each of the 2 triangles is (12-6)/2, do you see why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so, the formula for the area of a triangle is 1/2 bh. Which in this case is: 1/2 (16)((12-6)/2) multiplly this by 2 to get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is 24 the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's actually 48 if you multiply the area of that triangle by 2 to include both triangles

thanks a loooot:D

no problem :)
