Explain, in complete sentences, how you would use the elimination method to solve the following system of equations 2x + 9y = 4 3x + 7y = –7 also please provide the solution if you could :D

To start, pick a variable. I'll pick x. Now we need to get opposite coefficients on the x terms in each equation. So, since the second equation has 3x, we need the first equation to have -3x. So multiply the first equation by negative 1.5 or -(3/2). Make sure you multiply both sides and all three terms by it. What do you get?
