the measure of an angle of a triangle are 6x, 4x+3 and x+1 find the measure of each angle

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what's the sum of all internal angles in a triangle?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

|dw:1375399773369:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm...is it 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am i wrong

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

no, is correct

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so we know that the angles are 6x 4x+3 x+1 and that all must sum up to 180, thus (6x ) + ( 4x+3 ) + ( x+1 ) =180 solve for "x" then apply its value once found to each :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does x = 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but do i have to substitute it in one of the equations

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yes

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yes you do

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

their relationship is based on "x", thus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont wana seem dumb or anything, but can i sub it in, in either one

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, the exercises says => \(\text{find the measure of}\color{blue}{\text{ each }} \text{angle}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol true.. :)
